Pallets donated by Berkeley Homes
Berkeley Homes have kindly donated and delivered to the Site a number of pallets for the use of plotholders on their plots. Berkeley Homes are currently developing Wimbledon Hill Park on Copse Hill.
Wooden pallets have a number of potential uses on a plot, including building a compost bin - a vital feature to reduce valuable green waste leaving the Site. See the links page for links to advice about how to use pallets to build a bin. Berkeley Homes themselves are using other pallets to create benches for builders working at Wimbledon Hill Park.
The initial delivery of 16 palettes to undeveloped Plot 111 beside the Cottenham Park Lane gate was quickly taken up by plotholders. The few remaining palettes are now stacked against CPAGA's garage beside the John Gray Centre.
Now we have a better sense of demand for pallets at the Site, CPAGA and Berkeley Homes hope that more palettes may become available later in the season. Many thanks to Theresa Crampsie, Office Manager and CSS Co-ordinator for Berkeley Homes, and her colleagues for this generous gift.
