Frequently Asked Questions

(1)  Are there any plots available now ?

There is a waiting list at present. Please contact the Letting Officer at Merton Council.

(2)  Do I have to be a member of the Association to have a plot ?

No.

(3)  Can I be a member without having a plot ?

Yes. You can join as a Garden Member with the same benefits as a plot holder member.

(4)  How can I get a toilet / pedestrian gate key ?

Both from the Shop, each for a £ 3.00 returnable deposit.

(5)  Can I get a key for the vehicle gate on Cambridge Road ?

If you require a key, please contact the Council.

(6)  Can I park my car on the site ?

Vehicles may be brought onto the site only to unload or load heavy items. Cars should not be parked on the site for an extended period and must never block the roadways for safety reasons.

(7)  A neighbour's plot is neglected. What can I do about it ?

Inform the Letting Officer at Merton Council.

(8)  What should I do about a water leak ?

Either report it to the Shop or contact the Allotment Manager at Merton Council.

(9)  Can I have a fire on my plot ?

Yes but only after dusk, to avoid bothering other plot holders and local residents.

(10)  Can I bring my dog to the site ?

Yes, but it must be on a lead.
